All of these parks offer great facilities including, climbing walls, restoration sites, a variety of sporting fields, pathway networks, barbecues, basketball half courts, exercise facilities, playgrounds, bikeways, off leash dog areas, tennis and cricket facilities, and more. Perhaps the most popular park in Mansfield is Broadwater Picnic Ground Park. It has a huge range of facilities for both kids and adults to enjoy including a basketball half court, a cycle track, a fitness and exercise station, a ‘kick about’ space, an extensive playground, as well as a large path and bikeway network. Mansfield locals absolutely love this park and so do residents from surrounding suburbs. The park is often quite busy in the afternoons and on weekends.

Perhaps its most popular part of the establishment, the bistro and bar is a favourite hangout spot amongst the locals. Plus, there is no doubt that Australians love their pubs. The bistro has daily specials as well as their standard pub menu filled with all the classic favourites; garlic bread, calamari, burgers, schnitzels and parmis, and of course steak. The bar is packed with a variety of drinks as well as local brews on tap. There is also a gaming room, on-site TAB, a couple pool tables and a large projector screen for nights with large sporting events. There are also two functions rooms available for hire which can cater for 5 to 500 people seated and dining, or up to 1000 people standing.

Sports Complex on Weedon Street West, Mansfield. The Eagles Football Club have both men and women’s senior teams as well as junior teams for boys and girls. The Eagles Sports Complex also has an indoor area for other sports to use such as futsal, basketball and even roller derby. There is also an outside baseball field which is also used for softball. There are also various clubs which uses school campuses and fields for their sport. Some of these include Mt Gravatt Little Athletics which uses Mansfield State High School fields. Other sports clubs in the area include St Pauls Uniting Sporting Club, Mansfield Junior Cricket Club, Focus Martial Arts Brisbane, Club Dynamite, Action 6 Soccer and more.

The event is run by a group of volunteers and is a great way to become more involved in the Mansfield community as well as meet new people with similar interests from around the area. The five kilometre course has been measured and runs the whole way on permanent pathways, however, some sections can accumulate water in the case of wet weather. If its your first time, there are signs indicating which way to go as well as marshals at key points along the track depending on the number of volunteers for that week. The course follows various pathways along Bulimba Creek and is a great way to start the weekend.

As well as regular classes, Brisbane Adventist College offers its students a wide range of sports for them to participate in. Some of these sports include futsal and soccer, basketball, rugby league and rugby union, touch football, volleyball, and netball. They also have special music and art programs on offer for students with particular interest in those areas.
